The first workshop, themed around the idea of ‘imagination’, took place in York on 11-12 February 2014. You can read about our discussions here.
A larger conference, ‘Remembering Jerusalem: Imagination, Memory, and the City’, took place at King’s College London on 6-7 November 2014. The conference Call for Papers and programme are available here and here.
The final network workshop will take place in Parma, Italy, provisionally scheduled for February/March 2016.
A public event themed around ‘foodways’ will take place in York in autumn 2015. This will draw on the rich interconnections between Jerusalem’s cultural and culinary heritage, and explore the ways in which gastronomy has brought the flavours and customs of Jerusalem into communities across Europe.
