Dr Isabelle Hesse

isDr Isabelle Hesse is an early career researcher and part-time tutor at the University of York, where she completed her PhD on contemporary Jewish, Palestinian, and postcolonial writing in the Department of English and Related Literature. Her research interests include Palestinian and Israeli literatures, the intersection between Jewish and postcolonial studies, and European representations of the Holocaust, Israel, and Palestine in the 21st century. She has forthcoming articles in Textual Practice and Postcolonial Text and is currently completing an article on Palestine and the Arab Spring.
